What I liked:  I really like Charles Wysocki art.  Pieces fit well and I could easily pick up the final puzzle in one piece holding the edges.  Very easy to assemble, took less than 2 hours probably.  A bargain on sale at $4.95.  A nice, small Buffalo box.

What I didn't like:  A few pieces were not cut completely, or had chads of carboard hanging off the back ripped off another piece.  I don't like the way Buffalo glues their boxes closed, but I have figured out how to deal with it.

After doing the Elephant Family I decided to do something a lot easier, so I chose this from my recently delivered pile of puzzles from Buffalo Games and Puzzles.

Serene Retreat by Bits and Pieces 1000 pieces

  This puzzle is the 46th we have finished since we started puzzling this past April, and is titled "Serene Retreat" by Bits and Pieces (artist Cody Carlson). Currently this puzzle is out of stock . We found this puzzle at Goodwill last week for about $3 which I thought was a steal.  We have finished 7 Bits and Pieces puzzles now (nearly all from Goodwill), but none with 1000 pieces from this brand before this one.  The puzzle is a good size at 27 x 20 inches. There is no poster unfortunately, and the picture on the box is not really adequate to thoroughly search for a lot of pieces.  The picture is like an oil painting (my wife described it as being like a "paint by number" picture).  I found a picture on line, but the actual puzzle was darker than the online photo so the photo was not that useful. Sunset in Venice - Big Ben (Milton Bradley) 1000 pieces (#61)

  This was our first Big Ben puzzle and probably will be the last.  It's a nice image, but the quality is not very good.  We found this at Goodwill.  This was our first Goodwill puzzle with a missing piece in a while.  We took over a week to finish this because it was difficult to get into working on it as I did not enjoy the thin pieces.  The fit was poor also.
